Yunick:
Casey Yunick, grandson of legendary mechanic Smokey Yunick, finished 10th
in the Slim Jim All Pro Series race last weekend at Lakeland’s USA International.
Yunick’s car was
loose all night, but he still managed to keep it on the track for a solid
finish. Yunick and Smokey were mobbed by fans as they stood side by side at
the autograph session before the race. The next race for the All Pro Series
will be at Memphis (Tenn.) Motorsports Park. -Jane Smith

UNLUCKY YUNICK
With consistent top-10
finishes, a lead in the Slim Jim All Pro Series rookie standings and new associate
sponsor Ugly Duckling along for the ride, Casey Yunick and his team were in
high spirits as they headed for last weekend's show at Louisville (Ky.) Speedway.
Despite the fourth-fastest speed during practice,
Casey backtracked to 14th during qualifying with an unexpected push. Taking
the green flag and climbing to 10th place, Yunick's day ended after the backside
of his car hit the wall. The night proved tough for everyone -- only 12 of
26 cars finished the 300-lap race. The Slim Jim All Pro Series makes its next
stop this weekend in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
