and overdue comeback in NASCAR competition.
With consistent top-10 finishes, a lead in the
Slim Jim All Pro Series rookie standings and new associate sponsor Ugly Duckling
along for the ride, Casey Yunick and his team were in high spirits as they
headed for last weekend's show at Louisville (Ky.) Speedway.

grandson of legendary mechanic Smokey Yunick, finished 10th in the Slim Jim
All Pro Series race last weekend at Lakelandís USA International.

Tough road prepares Yunick for hard charge

with the surname of Yunick would be involved in racing. But its a big suprise
to learn that Gatorade All Pro Series 2000 Rookie-of-the Year Casey Yunick
once swore it off like a drunk would a liquor bottle.
Last year diring his NASCAR All Pro Series rookie
Assault, Holly Hill-based Casey Yunick got off to a roaring start.
Slowing down, Yunick noticed a fire under the
hood of his car-- a stuck carburetor fuel float -- and brought it into the pits.
Casey Yunick and his Lou Anna Oil Racing team
visited Montgomery (Ala.) Motor Speedway last weekend only to have Yunick get
hit from just about every direction before race's end.
